Survivor STORY

Cecile (Cecilie, Cirel) Kozma Dziewienski was born in Gniazdowice, Poland in 1905. She was a prisoner in Plaszow labor camp and Skarzysk, a subcamp of Buchenwald. During the war, Cecile's and her husband Kalman's two young children, Leib Wolf and Liebe Rifka, were murdered. After liberation, Cecile was reunited with Kalman and they moved to Germany, where their daughter Erna was born. A few years later, the family moved to Atlanta, where her brother Ike (Ignacy) Kozma eventually joined her. Cecile and Kalman passed away in 1985.
