Survivor STORY

Rose Meyer Davidovits grew up in Budapest, Hungary. She was taken, with her mother and two aunts, from the Budapest ghetto to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in November 1944. After liberation, she lived in the Bergen-Belsen DP camp, where she met her husband, Desider (Dave) Davidovits. In 1947, she and Dave emigrated to the United States, where Dave found employment in the clothing industry as a tailor. Rose and Dave moved to Atlanta when Dave accepted a job offer.
