Survivor STORY

Suzan Dollmann Tibor was born in Antwerp, Belgium, the younger daughter of Hertz and Sally Dollman. After her father was deported, Sally escaped to Unoccupied France with the girls, whom she placed in the care of the O.S.E. organization. Suzan and her sister, Regine (Rosenfelder) survived in children's homes run by the O.S.E., an organization to save Jewish children in France.

Suzy and Regine were reunited with their mother after liberation. Suzy continued to live in children's homes while her mother was getting back on her feet. Sally and Suzy joined Regine in Atlanta in 1951.

Suzy married another survivor, Peter Tibor, with whom she had two children. Peter died of cancer before he was thirty.
